A PIR sensor module has only 3 pins – one is Vcc which is a +5 volts input, a ground pin and finally the digital output pin. Connect +5V from Arduino to Vcc of PIR sensor module, connect a GND from Arduino to ground of PIR sensor and finally connect the output pin (marked as ‘out’) to any digital pin of arduino.

I even have them turn on and fade off but I''m wanting to keep the LED''s solidly lit until the PIR stops detecting motion and then fade off. I''ve tried a few different IF statements but no success. Below is my sketch for the basic turn on, pause, and fade off.
Once you have the LED blinking, look on the back of the PIR sensor and make sure that the jumper is placed in the L position as shown below. Now set up the testing board again. You may notice that when connecting up the PIR sensor as above, the LED does not stay on when moving in front of it but actually turns on and off every second or so.

If you want to add an LED: Wire together the Digital pin 6 in the Arduino board with pin a12 in the Beard board. Place the LED with the longer leg in pin h12 and shorter leg in pin h11 in the Beard board. Place the Resistor connecting pins e12 and f12 in the Beard board.
